Astral Traveling in Quarantine

“Traveling. It leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”

  • Ibn Battuta

I’ll be honest, Astral Travel was something that I found boring or I was always like “ehh”. I took my first Astral Travel class back in 2010 when I was only 17. I was just starting on my spiritual path and I was taking any classes I could get my hands on. I was just beginning to tap into all the amazing things that the Modern Mystery School could offer me. So I took this class called Astral Travel, I had never even heard of the phrase Astral Travel before this class.

I took the class and had a pretty decent experience but nothing profound. I was able to Astral Travel successively to the Akashic Zone and was able to look at my book of life. I thought that was pretty cool and I figured that would be the only reason why I would want to Astral Travel. I had no desire at that time to use Astral Travel to explore the universe, galactic planets didn’t interest me at that time. I liked Earth and I rather physically go somewhere on Earth than Astral Travel there. Remember I’m only 17 at the time and I was having so many amazing other experiences in other classes that I just kind of let this skill sit on the shelf. But as the years went by I started to see Astral Travel more and more in the media.

If you are like me and have no idea what Astral Traveling even is, it’s expanding your consciousness to visit anywhere in the universe. That is a very simple explanation because it’s applications are so much more. The best example I can think of in the media is in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Luke Skywalker uses astral projection in his fight with Kylo Ren. Well they call it force projection, but really it's Astral Projection.

Which side note, watching that scene in theaters around Christmas was astonishing. Quick spoiler alert! I was holy fuck, Luke Skywalker is using Astral Travel! This was a character I grew up with and he was using a skill I knew how to do! Here Luke was having an epic fight with Kylo Ren and then we find out, he is actually meditating on a rock on another planet across the galaxy!

Suddenly, that simple (and in my mind boring) skill became WAY cooler. I had a deeper understanding why I would want to Astral Travel. Now I’m not saying I would want to use it to go fight aliens on other planets, that would be terrible. But seeing the power of it was mind blowing to me. Luke tricked Kylo Ren by using Astral Projection!

Not only that but you could say both Rey and Kylo Ren were using Astral Travel to communicate with each other. In both Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker. They were able to interact with each other across the galaxy, even physically affect objects in their environments. Like knocking over the helmet or grabbing a necklace. The stronger you develop your Astral Travel skill the more it feels like you’re physically interacting with that environment. So in a sense they were both using very well developed Astral Travel skills to communicate with each other, besides the whole mind link they had going on.

Anyways, I’m getting WAY off topic, I just love talking about spiritual connections that I notice in pop culture. The reason I’m writing this post is to talk about my most recent experience with Astral Travel. So it’s been 10 years since I last audited an Astral Travel class. Anytime it was available I was like “pass, it’s not my favorite”. It came back around, and my wise friend told me “maybe you should audit it again, it’s been a long time. You’re a different person now.”

I’m taking the class again and of course, I’m hitting my resistance throughout the class. It comes to the moment where we’re being guided through our first Astral Travel and everything goes great. I told my ego to stop interfering and then I had a profound experience. I got a ton of insight about some blocks that were coming up that I didn’t understand. It was emotional as it was hitting some deep struggles I was dealing with. I was like cool, I can use Astral Travel to gain better understanding about myself, which is the main goal of this spiritual path. To know thyself.

This is where it gets even better. We were given homework, we were to Astral Travel on our own within a week of the class. We just had to tell our instructor about the experience. I waited until my day off and then I set aside the time to really commit to Astral Traveling. And I knew exactly where I wanted to go.

My favorite place in the entire world is Second Beach in La Push, WA. And it’s not because of the whole Twilight thing (La Push is where the wolves are from). There’s this trail that goes through this magical forest that feels very old and it opens up onto an amazing beach. The waves would be crashing and there was even some sand (not a lot of Washington beaches had sand). There is a little island off the coast. I have visited this place so often and each time I always had magical experiences. The area was teeming with Elemental Beings and when I would visit I was able to connect with them. I would take my time and just meditate in a tree or in a patch of grass. These Elemental Beings were my friends and they have helped me so much on my spiritual path. If there were a lot of humans around, it made it harder to connect as they would stay away. It was one of the places on Earth where it felt like coming home every time I was there.

When I made the decision to move to Phoenix, I kept getting messages and guidance that I needed to go back one more time. Yet the state was still in quarantine, the Quileute Tribe had locked down the reservation to all outsiders. There were roadblocks to make sure no one was visiting First and Second Beach. It made sense, as it was a high traffic trail and they were protecting their reservation. So I kept checking their website to see if they were opening up anytime soon. Even today they’re still closed. So I wasn’t able to say goodbye to my friends.

Thus I decided I was going to Astral Travel to Second Beach. I went through the steps handed down in the class and when I felt my feet touch Second Beach I started crying. This overwhelming sense of homesickness had come over me. And that moment I could hear the waves crashing, it was like coming home. My body was here crying in Phoenix but there I was on the beach and suddenly all my friends were coming up to me saying hi. Mermaids were coming to say hi, and then Elves, Centaurs, Gnomes and Fairies were all coming to visit. It had been a couple of years since I was last able to go to La Push and seeing all my friends had filled my heart.

I asked their help to bring that sense of home to Phoenix. Building a home is so important to me. For many years I didn’t feel like I fit in or belonged here on Earth. I didn’t feel like I had a home and it was these same magical, amazing beings that helped me find home. And I wanted to be able to recreate that here in a new state.

I was suddenly very grateful to be able to Astral Travel. This experience was something I wouldn’t have been able to have in my physical body because of the lockdown. During this time when travel can be difficult it makes Astral Travel such a valuable tool. I can now go back anytime I want without needing a plane ticket. This is why I had to write about it, I know many people are missing their favorite places. If you had the ability to go visit those places when you’re feeling down, would you do it?

If you have taken the class, I would love to hear about your favorite adventures you went on with Astral Travel! Or if you’re wanting to know more about Astral Travel or where you can also take this class in your local area, hit me up. You can message me through any of my social media platforms or contact me on this website.

Now I’m off to increase my skill in Astral Travel! I want to be as great at it as Luke Skywalker. I mean who doesn’t want a Jedi? May the Force be with you!
